Blue Star Recyclers is a Colorado-based social enterprise founded in 2009 with a mission of employing people with disabilities through an electronics recycling enterprise. This year we open new operations on the Western Slope, and would like to share about our primary deliverable - SROI (Social Return on Investment), which is a significant economic impact produced when our customers recycle with Blue Star and other social enterprises. We will show precisely how to produce and measure SROI, and how commercial, institutional, municipal, and residential buyers can leverage their purchasing power to produce SROI every time they purchase goods and services.
